Co-curricular in University

Co-curricular in University

UiTM Dengkil tour

I'm actually in the Badminton Club but since we are stricken by the Covid-19, we weren't able to have outdoor activities per usual. Therefore, I decided to grab any chance to join as many co-curricular activities as I could to get some co-curriculum marks. Since I'm also into filming and editing videos, I was asked by my close friend, Naim who is the President of the Multimedia Club, to join a competition that he organized. The first, second, and third place would get some money and a certificate so I didn't want to miss the opportunity to win money. Naim put me in a group of four. I was with Iman, Paan, and Aizat. We were given a task to film a tour of the Administration Centre. We planned out our video before we started any recording. We managed to film without feeling pressured or stressed since we cooperated very well. Every group member got one task such as recording, editing, and acting so it would be easier for us to finish it quickly without wasting any time. The video above is our finished product. We really hoped that we would win.

Logo creation

Designing logos is one of my favourite activities because I get to express my talent. Naim, who is the President of the Multimedia, texted me saying that there is a new competition where students needed to create a logo for the Multimedia Club. The winner's logo creation would be the Multimedia Club's official logo and also get to win some money along with a certificate. I wasn't that confident to join because I knew that there were a lot more students who are way more talented in designing logos especially those who are in the Multimedia Club but I decided to grab the golden opportunity. Scroll down to find out whether I won or not.

Alhamdulillah!

I've never thought that I would win against 100 students who were participating in this competition. At first, I wasn't going to even join the competition. However, I had nothing to do that day so I decided to design some logos and ask my family and friends about their opinions and it turned out that everyone thought that my logo was cool. I've gained confidence since then and I decided to fill the form of participation and submit my logo creation. Although I forgot to include the meaning behind my logo, I still got to be one of the 20 finalists and we were invited to a group chat.  From there, all of us had to send the hidden message behind our logo, and the judges started to eliminate some of the finalists to come up with 4 lucky finalists. The Multimedia Club posted a story of the 4 finalists' logos for the audience to vote according to our own number. I was number 4. I asked my classmates, my school friends, my family members, my Instagram followers to vote for me. The competition only provided prizes for 3 winners. Therefore, one of us had been disqualified. We were all waiting for the result and it turned out that I won second place which was very exciting. The prize was RM75 which to me, was more than enough. I'm really grateful for everything I've achieved throughout the first semester.
