She is a very calm and wise woman. She is a beautiful person with a beautiful heart. Madam Hidayah had always been supportive towards her students. Thank you, madam!

Lecture Notes

Personally, Grammar is one of my favourite subjects. I prefer taking notes while I'm referring to the pre-recorded lectures as I get to rewind those videos whenever I got left behind. I usually take notes about the topics that we are going to cover one day before Madam Hidayah started to explain further. Therefore, I got to at least understand a little bit so that I won't be totally clueless about the new topics.

Unlike the previous batches, we use online platforms to submit our exercises and assessments.

Exercises

Madam Hidayah usually spent Wednesdays to have online classes with us, while the next day, on Thursdays, she would hand out some exercises regarding the topics that we've just learned. All of the exercises were helpful as she tried to make us familiar with the format of the real examination such as the mid-semester tests and final exams.

Midterm test preparations.

I spent a few days focusing on Grammar since I was a bit confused about certain topics and tend to get them mixed up. I printed out some past year questions that Madam Hidayah provided so that I will have a deeper understanding of how the questions will be constructed and formatted. I also joined some study groups to discuss those past year papers together since it is easier for us to share knowledge with one another through group discussions.

Midterm Test

Madam Hidayah also handed out a lot of exercises through Schoology. It is a good website to make revisions and exercises. So far, I haven't face any problems with the server which is really impressive. For certain exercises, students got to see the marks right away. As a result, I could see my weaknesses and improve them as soon as possible so that I wouldn't repeat the same mistakes all over again.

I took the Grammar test at the library since I decided that I wanted to have a serene environment to reduce my nervousness while answering the test. I wasn't really familiar with the format and also the fact that I needed to answer them online, made me anxious if anything could go wrong. It took a lot of pressure but Alhamdulillah, I managed to answer them on time.

Achievement

When Madam Hidayah told us that she was going to return our midterm test answers with the grades, I was really worried since I had the feeling that I did terribly. However, the result came out pretty average. I wasn't that disappointed in myself but instead, I felt motivated to improve my weaknesses in some topics. I believed that there is always another chance to be better.

For the last Grammar class, we needed to complete 4 sets of past year questions beforehand and discuss it during class. Everything went well and we also got some explanation from Madam Hidayah regarding the final exam. The format would be slightly different compared to the other batches' but we are confident that we would be able to handle it. Madam Hidayah also mentioned that it is important to know the reasons behind every mistake in error analysis. Therefore, in order to achieve good grades at the end of the semester, we have to revise everything from the beginning. Thank you for your support, Madam Hidayah.
