She is a funny and cool person. She is also an understanding lecturer. She is the first lecturer that we met face-to-face and I was really glad seeing here. She was very chill and easy to talk to. Thank you, miss!

Finding out that we got to have our first ever face-to-face class during the Open Distance Learning was very exciting because we've been hoping to have normal classes since the beginning. Though we only got to have 3 to 4 face-to-face classes, I was really grateful for getting the opportunity to at least experience how it feels to be in a real class instead of learning through Google Meet. This was our first time meeting Miss Hannan and she is a very fun lecturer. On our first day of a face-to-face class, we learned about the Phonemic Chart.

Assignments

DEMONSTRATIVE SPEECH

The demonstrative Speech assignment was one of my favourite assignments because it required us to create something. As you can see from the list above, I chose to make a DIY Basketball Game using cardboard. I enjoyed filming and editing the video even though it did take kind of a lot of time to make it done.  I messed up the first time I recorded it and I was really stressed since I needed to film myself all over again. However, in the end, I still managed to complete and edit the video on time. I felt really relieved once I submitted it. I was one of the earliest ones to submit and I'm really proud of myself.

THE ENDING PART OF MY DEMONSTRATIVE SPEECH VIDEO

I'm very proud of my demonstrative speech video because it took a long time to film and edit yet I still got to submit a decent video. I had problems with the application that I used for editing but, I got lucky since I managed to figure it out.

Midterm Test

My teammates for the oral test were Paan, Iman, and Fazzerul. They were such amazing teammates. For the preparation, we practiced for the speaking test quite a lot. We started practicing together 5 days before the test. We had at least one Google Meet session per day to get familiar with the flow of the test which was really nerve-wracking.

When Miss Hannan first asked us to practice our speaking during classes, I did terrible to the point where I didn't even understand what I said. However, I consulted Miss Hannan and she helped me by giving some tips to provide better points and speak more fluently.

When the day had come, I was really nervous since I still remembered how I did the first time. While waiting for our turn, we ate at the Warong which one of the best cafes in UiTM Puncak Alam. I really miss having lunch with my classmates there.

Anyway, we were all nervous but some of our friends comforted us by saying that we will do great. When we entered the hall room, it was freezing in there. Nevertheless, we managed to speak fluently and provide some good points for our topic which was "University students face many challenges nowadays. What are those challenges?" Since I was candidate C, I got the third point which was "fitting in with people.

I was really grateful that I got to practice with my teammates regularly. It helped me to be more confident in giving opinions. Thank you to my teammates and Miss Hannan.

Last class

When I entered the class, they were just done discussing the mock test on Schoology. Then, Miss Hannan started to talk about demonstrative speech videos and decided to watch one of them during class. Unfortunately, it happened to be mine. By the look on her face, I could see that she was impressed but I wasn't sure. She decided to turn off her camera so that we couldn't see her reaction or else the result would be obvious. However, she still texted on the chatbox saying that she was amazed. I'm very proud of myself and I really hope I will get good marks for this assignment. A bonus story, when the class was about to end, we need to turn on our cameras. Right after I turned on mine, Miss Hannan asked whether or not I just woke up. I was speechless. Then, she ended up laughing at me. I think that is one of my favourite moments in that last class even though I was tired of cringing at myself when everyone was watching my video. Thank you, Miss.
